QUOTE-READY JOBS

The messy inquiry, made ready to act on

A print inquiry rarely arrives clean. Markyard pulls out what matters and lays it out the way your team already thinks about a job, product, quantity, method, sizes, colours, artwork, deadline, so review takes minutes instead of a re-read of the whole email.

Time to a quote-ready job

20 min–3 hrs

Today, done by hand

~5 min

The Markyard target

Manual quoting time as reported by print shops today. The 5-minute figure is The Markyard target for organizing a job, not a guaranteed result.

BEFORE AND AFTER

The same inquiry, two ways

This is the contrast that makes a quote-ready job worth having: everything a customer wrote, arranged into what your team needs in order to act on it.

Hi! We're doing a company thing next month and need some shirts, maybe 50 to 100 people going? Can you do our logo on the front, something like navy or black shirts. Also thinking a back print with our website. Need them by the 15th if possible, it’s kind of tight. Attached our logo, let me know!

Thanks, Dana

HUMAN IN THE LOOP

A person still approves everything

Turning an inquiry into a quote-ready job is not the same as sending anything. Markyard organizes the information and prepares it for review. Only after your team checks it does a reply go back to the customer, in the same thread it arrived in.

  1. Step 1

    Job organized

Markyard structures the inquiry into the fields your team reviews.

  2. Step 2

    Your team reviews

Someone checks the job, the artwork and what it will cost.

  3. Step 3

    Approved reply goes out

Only then does anything reach the customer, from the same thread.

WHAT QUOTE READY DOES NOT MEAN YET

Organized information, not a computed price

Matching a job against your catalogue and calculating a price are their own phase of the product. A quote-ready job today means the information above is complete and organized, not that a price has come out the other end.

Today

What quote ready means now

  • Every field above filled in, or clearly flagged as still missing
  • Laid out the way your team reviews a job, not as a wall of email text
  • Ready for a person to check stock and set a price by hand
Designed, not yet live

What comes in a later phase

  • Matching the job against your own product catalogue automatically
  • Calculating a price from quantity tiers, colours and positions
  • Turning a quote-ready job directly into a priced quote

QUOTE-READY JOBS, ANSWERED

Quick answers about quote-ready jobs

Does Markyard calculate the price for me?
Not yet. Today, quote ready means the job information is complete and organized. Catalogue matching and the pricing engine are a later phase of the product, not something this page overstates.
Does anything get sent to the customer automatically?
No. A person on your team reviews and approves a reply before it goes out, and it goes out from the same email thread the inquiry arrived in, not a new message.
What happens when information is still missing?
The job is organized around what's known, and the gaps are flagged rather than guessed at, so your team knows exactly what to ask the customer before quoting.
